How to Use the TVs

 

Every TV in the house is a VIZIO Class V-Series 4K UHD Smart TV with Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Chromecast built-in, so they all work the same way.

  • To log in to your streaming accounts: either click the app-specific button on the remote and log in with your account or navigate to the app from the TV’s home screen. The movie theater, main floor living room, and master bedroom TVs are already logged in to the house’s HBOMax account, feel free to use it!

  • To stream content from your phone or other devices to the TV with Chromecast: step-by-step instructions are available on YouTube here, or follow the steps below:

    • Make sure the phone or other device is logged into the Barefoot WiFi network

    • Install the Google Home app on your phone or device

    • Open the app that has the content you want to cast

    • If the app is compatible with Google Cast, you’ll see the Google Cast icon in the top right corner - click it

    • Select the name of the TV you want to cast to (usually you’ll only have the choice for the room you’re in)

    • When the connection is successful, the icon changes color to blue

  • To watch free content: click the WatchFree button on the remote to access hundreds of free streaming channels.
